connect WordPress with instant articles?
If you are using WordPress for your website, the following steps will show you how to activate Instant Articles and link them with your WordPress easily.
Verify your website ownership
We'll go back a bit and remember the third step of the tutorial to sign up to monetize Instant Articles (claiming your URL or link). The goal of this stage is to prove ownership of your website.Before you click Verify Website Link, we already mentioned that Facebook asks to copy the meta tag shown to you to the tag in your website's HTML. The meta tag you will see is shown in the image below.
Copy the Instant Articles meta tag within WordPress
You need to copy and paste the above code into the section of your WordPress site. There are 2 methods to making this :Modify the header.php file in your website template and paste the instant articles code directly into the section.
Use a plugin called “Insert Headers and Footers” to insert the meta tag into the section of the site.
Once you have added the required code to your website, you need to return to the Facebook Creator Studio to proceed with the Instant Articles application. You can now press the Claim URL or the 'Claim URL' button. A pop-up will appear where you need to put your website address and then click on Claim.
If your website link is eligible for Instant Articles, it will be added quickly and will appear under the Approved domain URLs field when it is approved.
In the event that your website link is not accepted (the common error is: “The provided URL is not being accepted because the site has minimal readership, which violates the Instant Articles Policies. '), so it doesn't qualify for Instant Articles.. Often the reason is that it is a new site without much traffic. It is recommended to apply for profit from instant articles when you own a website that has more than 15,000 visitors and continuous traffic with enough visitors to the site coming from Facebook.
Add Instant Articles RSS feed
After your website link has been approved, the next step is to create an RSS feed for your website content. To do this, we go back to the Instant Articles application and look for the “Add production articles” option below the Claim URL option.We click on the previous option and as shown in the image, we click on “Add articles” and then choose the first option “Add with RSS feed”
A new window will appear with information about configuring the RSS feed. You will need to add the URL link to the RSS feed from your website. This link can be obtained from the WordPress Instant Articles Plugin
Install the WordPress Instant Articles plugin
Go to your WordPress and then click on plugins and click on add new. Look for the Facebook Instant Articles plugin called “Instant Articles for WP plugin” as shown in the image.
Click on Install Now and then on Activate. After activating the extension, go to it and put your Facebook page ID under the first field. You can find the Facebook Page ID or Facebook Page ID via the simple explanation from Facebook at this link.
After entering your Facebook Page ID, don't forget to save the settings. The Instant Articles plugin will then automatically generate an RSS feed link for you.
You can get this link, by placing the following link after your site link /feed/instant-articles. For example, your site link https://www.example.com/ becomes the RSS feed for your Instant Articles: https://www.example.com/feed/instant-articles.Copy the RSS feed link of the instant articles to your site on Facebook
The RSS feed link for instant articles, it will include any new article you write and help automatically publish it on Facebook when it is published on your website.
To finish the process of linking Facebook Instant Articles with WordPress, you need to copy your RSS feed link and return to the Facebook request and paste it into the box that appeared in the third step. Click on Save and a message will appear confirming that the process was completed successfully.
After completing the process successfully, you will be able to choose 10 articles on your website and submit them to be reviewed by Facebook to accept your request to start earning from Instant Articles.
